I think that most people are buying this classic already knowing all about information technology and they love it. If non, in that location are many reviews on the show itself. The Munsters season 1 contains all 38 episodes, including the thirteen-minute un-aired pilot episode. The un-aired pilot episode is in Color, and features different actors in the role of Lily and Eddie Munster. I feel that the pilot episode is merely an interesting piece of video, knowing that this was the offset Munsters act to exist filmed. It is really not enjoyable since it is not a consummate episode and does not accept Yvonne De' Carlo and Butch Patrick. (The main actors of Lily and Eddie). The episode, 'Family Portrait', is also in COLOR, merely is all the same bachelor to sentinel in blackness and white. The residue of the episodes are in original black and white format. The video quality is not outstanding, only smashing either. Typical DVD transfer. As far every bit I can tell, none of the episodes appear to be edited or cutting in any way. Dissimilar SOME of the other classic TV shows that were released on DVD. The case itself is a standard DVD case manner, (although just slightly thicker than a DVD example, considering of six discs plain.) Overall, this is a fine set to own, and I would recommend it to whatever Munsters fan.

I have loved the Munsters TV series since I watched it in 1964-1965 when I was a teenager. Herman and family unit are hilarious, poignant, and entertaining similar no other comedy series today. Too bad the show but lasted two seasons.

I am glad this is bachelor in this format. "The Munsters" was a genuinely funny, endearing, indelible show.
In Flavour One, the show was all the same finding its way, but chop-chop became an American icon. Fred Gwynne, as Frankenstein'south monster, still acted lifeless, equally did Boris Karloff in the original 1931(?) moving-picture show; deadpan, towering, intimidating, but very kind-hearted and upstanding. The farthermost silliness would come later. Yvonne DeCarlo, every bit Lily, stands out as one of the near hit presences in TV history, the epitome of her continuing at the bottom of the stairs when the opening credits roll, is absolutely enthralling. Simply for some reason, the prominent white streaks in her hair gradually went away, every bit did what sounded like a New England emphasis. Al Lewis, as Grampa, aka Dracula had his nose alter in size and shape, but is everyone'south favorite curmudgeon. Information technology's too bad Beverly Owen didn't want to stay in California, she was so good in the Marilyn character, only Pat Priest filled her shoes nicely. Butch Patrick was about all that didn't alter by the time the show institute its stride. He was but Eddie.
The sense of humor is often subtle, and very sophisticated, and the show made a betoken nigh Centre-Form White America. The Neighbors didn't want "those people" in their neighborhood, even though "those people" were of a better calibre than the people who surrounded them. I would have loved to accept been their neighbors. But I approximate I am weird that way.
This package gives one several hours of quality entertainment, and a cornball view of classic Idiot box. Thank you for it.

I loved watching the munsters television set show growing up.
Why do take to pay for every episode when I have Amazon Prime number membership 365 days a year? I want to revisit the remaking episodes without existence charged. What's the point of paying for an annual prime membership and you still have to pay to watch tv shows over 50 years quondam?

The Munsters: The complete offset season is truly a masterpiece. I don't empathise why they only made 2 seasons. This show has been around since I was a little kid.(forty some Years). I remember coming abode from school every day. I couldn't look for the Munsters to come on,(on our old B&W boob tube). It was a groovy show then & It'south a great show at present! I recently bought the beginning season & boy does information technology bring dorsum a lot of memories. The DVD'south are great. I oasis't had any of the problems that other reviewers accept had. If yous buy it from Amazon , yous will almost likely get a good set. So far, all of the box sets I've gotten from them accept been bang-up! I've read all of the reviews & a lot of them fabricated me wince. But alas, I forged on & I'1000 glad I did. This is a great bear witness for the kids of today. Instead of all that junk they seem to be watching these days, It'southward nice to see some one-time shows yet out there. So, Buy this great dvd box set today before information technology's gone for good. You won't be disappointed!!!

My mom used to lookout man this show as a kid & told me all about it, as the years went by I'd seen a few episodes here & at that place. When I heard they were releasing the serial to DVD I knew it was a must-have for my collection. I love this show, information technology's a classic, I especially savor watching information technology around Halloween.
DVDs: They are double sided so the box set isn't also big, the episodes are shown in black & white as they originally aired. They may not be HD only they are all the same adept quality.
This is a must-accept for whatsoever Munsters fan, it's a truly entertaining show, all of the actors fit the characters so perfectly. I've seen some of the remakes & I'm not a fan, the original is past far the best!

There isn't much to say except these shows were, and still are, classics. They but don't make them this way anymore. The jokes, the situations, and the laughs simply keep coming. All Star cast...Fred Gwynn, Al Lewis, and Yvonne Decarlo accompanied by Beverly Owen, Pat Priest, and Butch Patrick fabricated the Munsters unforgettable...and the Icing on the Cake was John Carradine as Mr. Gateman. Flavour 1 filmed in Black and White gave the show it's authentic feel. Swell episodes, and smashing fun

I am overjoyed at the prospect of owning The Munsters - The Complete First Flavour. This series has been and probably always will be one of my all-time favorite television shows. I can nevertheless recollect growing upwardly watching the afternoon reruns on WPIX from New York.
The Munsters was created by Joe Connelly and Bob Mosher, the same team that brought Get out It To Beaver to television. Beaver was the quintessential American family unit sitcom of the late fifty'due south - early 60's. Connelly and Mosher helped to establish all those nostalgic family unit sitcom cliches we've all come to dear (or hate) in Go out It To Beaver so they went on to totally parody them in The Munsters. The first season opening credit sequence of The Munsters is a groovy example of the way they parodied the typical family sitcoms of the fourth dimension. Yous see Lily Munster, housewife and female parent, sending her brood off for the mean solar day in the same manner June Cleaver and Donna Reed did. Lily easily each of her loved ones their packed lunches or school books every bit she pinches their cheeks or gives them a little motherly kiss.
Although The Munsters was considered much less sophisticated than its 60s creepy Tv rival, The Addams Family unit, it is overall a much more entertaining series to me. Although the subversive quality of The Addams Family continues to get in an entertaining series to sentinel as an adult, I have to admit I didn't enjoy it as a child. The Munsters with its wide comedy and more obvious monster characters was much more fun to sentry as a kid. It's worth pointing out that even though Morticia and Gomez Addams had a fiery sexual relationship on screen, Lily and Herman Munster may have been one of the only 60s TV couples to have been seen sharing the same bed (rather than the customary twin beds).
The Munsters - The Consummate Offset Flavor contains all 38 first season episodes (yes 38 shows in ane season!) as well equally the original unaired pilot (in colour I recall). It doesn't appear that there are too many more than extras in this set which is a bit disappointing. I would have loved to have seen episode commentaries by surviving bandage members, documentaries, behind-the-scenes footage, etc. Hey, peradventure we will get some of those extras on the Second Season gear up?
